Saratoga Woods Info
Marlins,
Our next meet on 6/22 is a home meet against Brookside and you can sign up now (swimmers here and jobs here). This is the only meet where swimmers 9 and older can try the IM. The IM is one lap of butterfly, back, breast, and free. It is a bonus event and will be run after the relays. It will not count for points and would be in addition to the 3 individual events. It will close on Weds (6/19) @ 7 PM. Please sign up on time!
SARATOGA WOODS HOME MEET
We are looking forward to our Saratoga Woods home meet tomorrow! We will be having parent relays and all parents are welcome to sign up here to join the fun! If you need to cancel your meet job for any reason, please contact LeAnn Baum @ [email protected] or on 507-469-3154 so she can find back up volunteers.
A few key things to keep in mind for tomorrow:
- Greenmeadow sets up at the diving block end of the pool. The grass near the parking lot and tables on the pavement near the kiddie pool area are for our visiting team. Please share your space/shade tents with other Marlins.
- The parking lots are reserved for the visiting team, so please do not park in our parking lots, park in the neighborhood instead, but do not block any driveways.
- There are set warm up times for each team (see below). Marlins may only warm up during our set time and may not be in the pool during the visiting team’s warm ups.
- Please keep your swimmers out of the kiddie pool and diving well since they are closed during meets.
- Please remind your swimmers to be good sports - everyone should stay in the pool until all swimmers finish and should say “good swim” or something friendly to their competitors.
Below is a timeline and general overview. I’ve attached the athlete sheet, a primer on how to read the athlete sheet for event/heat/lane with a diagram of what to write on their arm, the current job sign ups, and a timer responsibility sheet for all timers to review.
