Marlins Swimming
The Greenmeadow Marlins is our community swim team which runs from April through to mid July. Swim team provides a fun and social way for your child to improve and develop lifelong swimming skills and meet new friends in a supportive team environment. Attending swim meets is a great way for kids to strive for personal bests while enjoying a vibrant team atmosphere with friendly competition.
Swim team participants must be swim members of the GMCA.
Swimmers are divided into groups by age and swimming ability: practice duration ranges from 30 minutes for the kids aged from five to eight years, up to 60 minutes for teens.
Teenagers on the team act as mentors to the younger kids to help them be their best, and cheer them on.
Parents are also involved with meet jobs such as operating a stop watch, and this is a great way to meet and get to know other swim team families.
The Greenmeadow Marlins are part of the JSSL Swim League, which is a summer-only league comprising six small, neighborhood community clubs.
