Marlins!!

Congratulations again for a wonderful season and exciting Champs win! The results are attached and you can see Jessie’s stunning photos from Champs here and from the Pep rally here. Thank you Jessie! The Champs trophy will be engraved with our name and then on display in the Clubhouse.

All our swimmers did amazing! I saw lots of smiles, good sportsmanship, team spirit, and a very impressive 51% of swims were best times - great job Marlins! A special shout out to Phoenix Lynch for breaking both the JSSL and Greenmeadow records in backstroke and a new Greenmeadow record in the 50 free- wow!!

I can’t pass up on the opportunity for another thank you to Carmen, Christine and all our volunteers who helped Greenmeadow be the host team for my favorite Champs yet! It will take several folks to fill void left by Christine’s departure, so if any of you are interested in joining your friendly Swim Team Committee, please let me know.

Last, but far from least, Ryan, Hannah, Maddy, and Riley, thank you for all your dedication, team spirit, and leadership for our swimmers in the pool and out. We appreciate all of your hard work and wish Maddy and Hannah all the best when they head off to college.

WHAT’S NEXT?

Fall conditioning will start on Aug. 14th and run through Nov. 17th. The practice times will be very similar to what they are now and for swimmers aged 9 and older you will have the chance to sign up for 2, 3, or 5 day options. Keep an eye out for the registration email that will be sent to all GMCA members late July/early Aug. During the fall session we will have our Scary Distance Meet, which will be open to all Marlins regardless of whether you sign up for fall conditioning.

Thanks!

Donna & Ryan
