CIT Events Final Week

CITS,

You guys have been wonderful all season!  We are going to reschedule the inner tube water polo likely for the week after Champs, but stay tuned.  For the final week, there are several fun things outlined below. If you are 13 and older, please join us even if you haven't done anything else CIT related so far. All are welcome at anytime. If you aren't on the CIT WhatsApp yet, you can still join the group here for final reminders. Please mark your calendars for the events below:

CIT GOODIE BAG PACKING: THURS. JULY 13 @ 7-9

We have many goodie bags to decorate and pack for Champs, please join us in the Clubhouse from 7-9 PM on Thursday to help pack the goodie bags.  What is the "big" goodie this year?  Come to find out and enjoy some pizza too!

PEP RALLY: SAT. JULY 15 3 - 5 PM in the Park

For the pep rally, we'd love to have the CITS help at the various stations by doing things like putting on nail polish, fake tattoos, getting kids to sign the coaches cards, and there is going to be a craft of decorating draw string bags. We could also use some help make the whipped cream pies to throw at coaches and keeping the littles away from the pies. Please jump in and help out at the different stations.

GOODIE BAG DELIVERY SAT July 15 @ 5 - 7 PM: CITS

If you are new to the Marlins, we have a fun tradition where the kids who are 13 and older deliver goodie bags to the 12 and under Champs swimmers. For our CITs, immediately after the pep rally, we will form groups and provide each group with a list of addresses and maps for their deliveries.  Please let me know if you can drive others and are willing to do some of the more distant houses.  Everyone else, please bring bikes, scooters, whatever you want to go around the Greenmeadow neighborhood.  Please dress as festive as you can with your CIT shirts and lot of silly green.  The sillier the better.  I'll have some accessories for you to use too. The idea is to ring the bell/knock and run, but it's fun for the littles to half catch you running away.

CHAMPS CIT JOBS

We will only have 1 relay per age group at Champs, but will need CITs for those relays and especially making sure those kids and the alternates do not leave before the meet ends (this happened last year with our 6Us).  Since the meet is a bit more spread out and can be a bit overwhelming for the kids and new parents, please be on the lookout for lost Marlins of all ages and help direct them where to go.  There will be maps and other information sent around, so please familiarize yourselves with those maps or at least have them saved to pull up easily.  Our team location will be in a different spot this year, but one that is a little more central and closer to the bathrooms.

Please let me know if you have any questions and thanks again for all the work and spirit you have shown this year!

Thanks,

Donna
