Eichler tmrw and Saratoga Woods is Open

Marlins,

We are looking forward to our Eichler home meet tomorrow!  If you need to cancel your meet job for any reason, please contact Christine Hodson @ [email protected] or on 650-799-8093 so she can find back up volunteers.

The Eichler meet is going to be a special one for many reasons: (1) it marks the half way point of our swim season, (2) we will be honoring our graduating seniors, so please cheer loudly for them, (3) this meet will run a little longer since we have the bonus IM after the relays and (4) they are our favorite cross town rivals, so please be extra hospitable to our local friends.

Just a reminder that if your swimmers want to participate in our Champs meet (where all teams compete in one large meet), they need to swim in two dual meets to be eligible. The Practice Meet does not count as one of those meets.

Our next meet on 6/24 is at Saratoga Woods and it is now open, so please sign up now (swimmers here and volunteer here). It will close on Weds (6/21) @ 5 PM. Please sign up on time!

KEY INFO FOR TOMORROW:

  • Greenmeadow sets up at the diving block end of the pool. The grass near the parking lot and tables on the pavement near the kiddie pool area are for our visiting team. Please share your space/shade tents.
  • The parking lots are reserved for the visiting team, so please park in the neighborhood, but do not block any driveways.
  • We will have changing tents and porta potties available since the changing rooms construction is ongoing. The bathrooms in the clubhouse will be available.
  • There are warm up times for each team (see below). Marlins may only warm up during our set time and may not be in the pool during the visiting team’s warm ups.
  • Please keep your swimmers out of the kiddie pool and diving well.
  • Please remind your swimmers to be good sports - everyone should stay in the pool until all swimmers finish and should say “good swim” or something friendly to their competitors.

Below is a timeline and general overview. I’ve attached the athlete sheet, a primer on how to read the athlete sheet for event/heat/lane with a diagram of what to write on their arm, the current job sign ups, and a timer responsibility sheet for all timers to review.
