CIT Info and Sign Ups
CITS and CIT Parents!
Welcome to the 2023 Marlins Season! For those of you new to our CIT program, it is our Coach-In-Training program. All swimmers 13 and older are welcome to participate. We have social events and volunteer jobs at meets, practices, and dive clinics. Other than the social events, all hours can count towards any high school volunteer requirements, so a fun way to get some hours in! Your CIT coordinators this summer are Donna Hill and Julie Good.
MEET JOBS (Sign Ups here)
The little kids love having CITs help them at meets! Meet jobs include things like organizing relays, helping the coaches, rallying kids in the clerk of course, and just cheering loudly. At the Practice Meet we will also need some folks to help the littles with tie dying t-shirts. Please don't forget to tie dye your shirts in classic CIT pink! The Meet Job sign ups are all on this spreadsheet with tabs at the bottom for each meet. Please sign up for as many as you want to do. The more the merrier and volunteer hours are available!
CIT DIVE CLINICS (Sign Ups here)
Our CIT dive clinics for our 10 and under swimmers are great way for the big kids and littles to get to know each other. These will be on June 4th and July 9th from 10 AM - 12 PM and you sign up for 1 hour long shifts. No experience is necessary! You just need to review the dive progression videos below and follow those steps. It’s more about bonding with the little and having fun, so please sign up. Volunteer hours available!
IN WATER PRACTICE HELP
We would love any CITs who are willing to help with practices by getting in the water with the littles. It makes practices more fun for them and is a great way to learn how to teach swimming. You’d help with 1-2 lanes by correcting their strokes in the water, cheering on 2 hand touches, and making things fun for all. Please think about coming on a regular basis to help at these practices:
- 4:15 - 4:45 PM (Jr. Marlins T/Th and Adv. 8Us M/W/F)
- 5:30 - 6:00 PM (Jr. Marlins T/Th and Adv. 8Us M/W/F)
If you’d like to help Coach Ryan with his stroke clinics, that would be a good opportunity to also learn how to teach swimming for those of you thinking of becoming lesson instructors.

LEAD CIT APPLICATION
If you’d like to take a leadership role for the CITs, by doing things like helping with communication, organizing a service event, rallying other CITs during meets, or other leadership type role, please complete this application.

- July 13 @ 7-9 PM: Pack Goodie Bags and Pizza
- July 15 @ 5-7 PM: Goodie Bag Delivery after the Pep Rally
- We hope to add in a service event, likely helping to repair the tile wall in the pool area and/or helping to build a new team shed.
