Fall Session Ends Nov. 18, Winter starts Nov. 28
All,
Just a reminder that our Fall Session ends next Friday, Nov. 18th and the Winter Session starts up after Thanksgiving Week on Nov. 28th. If you'd like to continue after Thanksgiving, please sign up (here) for the winter session and more details are below.
WINTER CONDITIONING (Nov. 28 - Mar. 31)
Our youth Winter Conditioning swim practice will start on Nov. 28th and will run through March 31st. There will be no practices between Dec. 26th and Jan. 3rd. This is for swimmers aged 5-18 (4 year olds allowed with coach’s permission). Participants must be GMCA members to join. Registration is now open and you can register using this link. If these links don’t work for you, it is also on the upper right corner of our Marlins SwimTopia Website. If you do not have a SwimTopia account, you will create one as part of the registration process.
Just a reminder for those in Fall conditioning that the last practice is on Nov. 18th.
PRACTICE GROUPS (HERE)
Our practice groups are the same as for the Fall, except we have changed the older groups to be 9-11 and 12+ to alleviate crowding in the current 9-12 group. You can find the practice times here and the ages listed are just guidelines, the coaches may recommend different groups based on ability. Our 8U swimmers will swim either 3 days (advanced) or 2 days (beginner/Jr. Marlin). The cost is the same since we have smaller groups for our Jr. Marlins. For our 9-11 and 12+ swimmers, we offer practice at the same time each day and swimmers can sign up for 5 days (M-F), 3 days (MWF), or 2 days (TTH). We can be flexible on the days for the 2 and 3 day options.
COST
The cost for the different practice groups are the same as the Fall.
MEETS
Our dual meets are only during the summer, so there are no formal meets in the winter session. We may have some more informal time trials or other casual events.
VOLUNTEERS
For our off season conditioning, we do not require volunteering, however we will ask for volunteers to help with any events if your swimmers participate.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Donna
