Cupertino Hills Details

Marlins,

Hope you all swing by the pool tonight for our pasta Friday Night Dinner (starting at 6 PM). We are also looking forward to our Cupertino Hills home meet tomorrow. If you need to cancel at the last minute for any reason, please contact Christine Hodson @ [email protected] so she can find back up volunteers.

Just some reminders about our home meets:

  • Each team has a designated zone in the pool area. Greenmeadow sets up at the diving block end of the pool, while the grass near the parking lot and tables on the pavement at that end of the pool are for Cupertino Hills.
  • The parking lots are reserved for the visiting team, so please park in the neighborhood.
  • There are set warm up times for each team (see below). Marlins may only warm up during our time and cannot be in the pool during Cupertino Hills warm ups.
  • Please remind your swimmers to be good sports - everyone should stay in the pool until all swimmers finish and should say “good swim” or something friendly to their competitors.
  • Please keep your swimmers out of the kiddie pool and diving well, which are closed during the meets.

Below is a timeline and general overview. I’ve attached the athlete sheet, a primer on how to read the athlete sheet for event/heat/lane with a diagram of what to write on their arm, the current job sign ups, and a timer responsibility sheet for all timers to review.

PARENT VOLUNTEERS: A big thanks to our volunteers! The volunteer sign ups are attached and please check in with Christine Hodson when you arrive at a table behind the starter/near the women’s bathroom.

MEDLEY RELAYS: We will run relays, which in JSSL must be mixed gender for each age group. The relays can change at the meet if people don't show, so please check with the coaches before leaving to see if your child is on a relay.
