Brookside Details and Caps are In!

All,

Hope you all swing by the pool tonight for our first Friday Night Dinner (starting at 6 PM) to enjoy some pizza and good cheer.

Quick note that the caps have arrived- yeah! If you ordered personalized caps, you can pick them at the apparel table during the meet. The standard team cap without names will be available for $15 each. If you can't make the meet, we will try to find times to distribute next week, but please don't ask the coaches for them during practice.

We getting fired up for our Brookside Meet tomorrow June 4th (arrive by 7:40 AM) @ Greenmeadow. This is our first home dual meet in a while, which will be a new experience for many of you. Here are a few things different about dual meets:

  • Each team has a designated zone in the pool area. Greenmeadow sets up at the diving block end of the pool, while the grass near the parking lot and tables on the pavement at that end of the pool are for Brookside. It will be a tight fit, so please share space with your fellow Marlins.
  • The parking lots are reserved for Brookside, so please park in the neighborhood not the lots.
  • There are set warm up times for each team (see below). Marlins may only warm up during our time and cannot be in the pool during Brookside’s warm ups.
  • Please remind your swimmers to be good sports - everyone should stay in the pool until all swimmers finish and should say something like “good swim” to their Brookside competitors.
  • Please keep your swimmers out of the kiddie pool and diving well, which are closed during the meets.

Below is a timeline and general overview. I’ve attached the athlete sheet, a primer on how to read the athlete sheet, the job sign ups, and a timer responsibility sheet for all timers to review.
