Hopefully you have all seen our new Assistant Coach Amanda around the pool, but I wanted to formally introduce her and share more of her background with everyone. Please make her feel a welcome addition to the Marlins family!

Swimming Experience
Amanda was introduced to the water when she was 8 months old. She started competitively swimming when she was 5 years old. When Amanda was 9 years old she joined Santa Clara Swim Club’s competition team. In high school, Amanda joined the high school team from her Freshman year to Junior year where she swam varsity. Amanda’s favorite events she swam were 100 Butterfly, 200 butterfly, and 400 I.M. Amanda left competitive swimming when she was 17 years old.
Coaching Experience
In high school, Amanda would help coach the team from her Freshman year to Senior year.
Goals for your career
My goal is to improve the technical skills of my swimmers. Creating the mindset to improve themselves I hope also inspires more passion for swimming.
Personal Fact Of Interest
Amanda has a baby named Vallen. She also has 2 cats named Aslan and Leto. She is currently earning her degree in Anthropology.
