Marlins: April 23 @ 6:30: Game Night and Social/Info Night

Greetings Marlins,

Hope the first week of practice went well for everyone. Here is an overview of what’s coming up this week as well as a few reminders and previews.

APRIL 23 @ 6:30 - 8:30: GAME NIGHT (KIDS) & PARENT SOCIAL AND INFO NIGHT

We have our first social & informational event this Saturday, April 23rd from 6:30 - 8:30 PM in the clubhouse. The kids will have an old-fashioned game night (games provided, but feel free to bring any non-electronic games) while the parents will have a social and information presentation about the season. This is for both Jr. Marlins and Marlins (Jr. Marlins, please consider anything for Marlins as including Jr. Marlins too).

We will be circulating the presentation for those not able to attend and also offering it via zoom. If you are coming to the parent social, there will be a live presentation, but if you can’t, there will be a zoom meeting starting at 6:30 PM (zoom link here).

LOGISTICS AND UPCOMING EVENTS

Please review the checklist below for other upcoming events and “to dos” while the season is getting started. New items below include signing up for the team photos on June 4th, which will be during our first home meet, and completing a survey if this is your swimmer’s 5th or 10th year on the team so they can receive their appropriate plaque.

    • Note that this replaces our old google calendar, so everyone will need to subscribe.
  • Buy the team suit (required), parka (optional), and other clothes and equipment at our SwimOutlet Store.
    • Here is a list of the equipment your swimmers need.
  • Our team photos will be during the meet on June 4th for only $20 per family you will get individual, buddy, and the team photo. You can sign up and pay for them here.
  • If this is your swimmer’s 5th or 10th year on the team, please complete this survey so they will receive a plaque at our awards ceremony.
  • Our Swim-A-Rama (our biggest fundraiser), will be on June 22nd. Be the first to donate here.
  • Familiarize yourself with all the info on the website which is full of information such as: Practice Groups, Meet FAQs, Meet Sign Up Instructions, Social Events Calendar, and the Team Cheers!
  • Download the SwimTopia app, which will have your swimmer’s events/heats/lanes, results, and your volunteer jobs for meets. The paid version will have results for the whole team and the free version will have your swimmer’s results.
